Drama - Selections on Christmas

It was an evening like many other...or so we thought. There was a sense of excitement... electricity...some would even call it 'magic.' However, those in "the know" just called it a Thursday. 

The goal was to have a low-key gathering time with friends and family and present some of the most iconic scenes from Christmas- and Winter-themed films. As the drama club was doing whatever those drama kids do in the last minutes, their parents and friends were filing into the gym. As they were taking their seats, we quickly realized we needed more seats...so, the students sprang into action, setting out more folding chairs. 

The assembled were snacking on refreshments while the audio system was being checked and the band kids were tuning up. The cacophony gently died down, and the audience was transported into the scenes. The stage performers were aided by a mixture of pre-recorded music AND live music provided by some of the band students. Outstanding performances from all.

Thanks goes to Ms. Jenny Wassom and upperclassmen for a wonderful evening of music and drama. I believe my heart grew at least 3 sizes...
